GENERAL INFORMATION ON ESCOME
The Emory Spine Center for Outreach and Medical Education (ESCOME) will provide training to physicians in developing countries, build critical new professional relationships and establish self-sufficient centers for spine care within those countries where need and appropriate infrastructure are identified. This initiative will make high-caliber spine care available to enormous populations who are currently underserved in dealing with these common and most debilitating problems. The pilot program is begining in China and may move to Latin America or Africa in the second phase.
